Catching Up....

I have not been a diligent blogger lately so I will try to catch you up in pictures. We took B to his first NYY game when they played KC. He was such a good baby despite the nasty heat!

7 Months

Bentley turned 7 months the same day Cullen turned 36! I think we did the math and that is something like 432 months old for Cullen! We even took a picture with a sign for Cullen that states his age in months and a sign for B!

Oh 7 months--you are a fun age!
He is sitting on his own and quite good too. Doesn't have much trouble unless he is being nosy and gets himself twisted around--then he falls! He is really into balls! Soccer balls seem to be his ball of choice (good news for the Wadleigh's, bad news for the Chollett's) :)

He eats solids at breakfast, lunch and dinner and has 3 bottles a day which are either 7 or 8 ounces! He is a big boy and we love him to pieces.

We play a good game of hide and seek and he is so funny as he anticipates the scare. He is wearing 9 month old clothes--and the other night we put him in a 9 month sleeper and it was almost too short! He is a lean mean fighting machine and this short and round momma doesn't know what to do with him!

Pictures to come soon! He is growing like a weed!

Happy Birthday (a day late)

Happy Birthday (yesterday) to my wonderful husband! Another year has gone by and we have experienced and witnessed much. I am humbled to walk this path with you. Proud to call you my husband, friend and soul mate and always in awe with how our son lights up when you walk in the room. We are blessed to have you in our life!

Here is to another adventurous and wonderful year!

We love you

Retiring

I said it last night--This Ho is retiring! Retiring from at least weeknight concerts, so I guess that is semi-retirement!

We went to an awesome concert last night. The Black Keys--if you haven't seen them---what are you waiting for? GO and Go NOW! It was fun, it was nice to be alone with my husband, it was hot (heat advisory), it was a crappy venue and it was late (started at 9 p.m.), but it was fun and the live music was awesome. However, as we are waiting for the show to start and it is 10 p.m., I think about my bed, about my little boy and about how I feel like I am too old for this scene.

I make the announcement--and my best bud says--no, not this HO is retiring---this Momma is retiring! And you know what--I liked the way it sounded. Finally a momma and it is true, I want to be home where my heart is. I will continue to go on dates with Cullen--alone, but maybe just not dates that end at 1 a.m. (maybe every once and a while). It is good for B to be without us but on a Monday night with work calling the next day??? Yep, semi-retirement sounds good right now.

However, please note, I can do the "Brett Farve" and pull myself out of retirement any old time!

Where is my little baby?

It just doesn't seem possible--Bentley will be 7 months old next week and while that isn't old, he isn't a little baby anymore. He was asleep in his crib yesterday and Cullen said it best--he looks like a little boy! He is an explorer, examiner and inquisitive and I love it, but I can't imagine how crazy it will be when he can move! It is cute as he is sitting up and cranking his head every which way, probably won't be so cute when he is trying to climb the couch or entertainment center!

He loves our cats and Maggie loves him (Rosco does too--he just doesn't let B "pet" him like Maggie does). In fact the other day he got Maggie by the tail and managed to lift her a little off the ground! Not only are we in for a rude awakening when he becomes mobile--two little felines will be too!

B--your smile is contagious and your laughter divine! We love you more and more each and every day that goes by!
